Hard rock with a punch, this Swiss band's best disc is both hard and catchy. Read a full review of it at: http://www.listen.to/rainbowflame/

From: Teo_3 Date: January 15, 2003 at 1:35
And when you think that they cannot top the first album they come out with a better one!!!!!Heavier, bluesier record, one of the best out of the 90's.No weak tracks, and production to come along. If you don't have it then BUY it.

From: Rocker65 Date: February 15, 2003 at 11:04
Man... HIGHER is Great song... Allright now it's up to you there Rock N' Roll Storm coming over you

From: Kristian Date: February 26, 2003 at 22:40
By far their best album yet, although the first one comes close. have you heard the new one "Human Zoo", My god it's good, I just love this band.

From: Knuckles Date: March 25, 2003 at 0:51
Brilliant band. Quick question. I have a live demo release from these guys and i need some help.I hear him call the bands name GOT-HARD.My friend says it is pronnouced GOTH-ARD.Which is it?.

From: Reno Date: June 4, 2003 at 20:26
This was an OK CD. I liked G and the Self titled much better and this one comes next. They went downhill after G, but I've been told that the new one called Human Zoo is much better. i guess it's time to give that one a try.

From: Great Dane Date: June 4, 2003 at 20:38
Reno. try and download some of it before buying it. I have heard it, and they sound like something between Beatles and a comercial for diapers. I was sooo dissapointed.

From: Reno Date: June 4, 2003 at 22:11
And what the hell do you have against diapers great Dane? If I can find it cheap it won't bother me that much. I've tried to download tunes off WinMX and Kazaa of some of the lesser known bands out there. Not so easy to come by as they were on Napster and Audiogalaxy. Thanks for the info though

From: Desslar Date: June 5, 2003 at 3:00
Great down and dirty hard rock, like Krokus on steroids. A bit crude but it rockz!!

From: Great Dane Date: June 5, 2003 at 8:13
I have nothing against diapers, theyre just damn hard to find at my size. I got most of the tracks from Grokster.

From: Edilson Brasil Date: August 5, 2003 at 10:25
Killer!!! Second album with many Hard&Heavy. All the musics are fantastics; Open Fire, I'm On My Way (beautiful song), Montain Mama (the hit!!), Here Comes the Heat... Soberb!!!!!!!!!!

From: Evil_Peter Date: February 23, 2004 at 9:52

From: Rick(Barcelona) Date: April 5, 2004 at 19:15
simply one of the best hard rock albums ever made. 10/10

From: Big Papa K Date: June 13, 2004 at 1:30
Gotthard are back with another hard rocking album. This time though, they seem to have forgotten the hooks. The riffs are great, but some of these choruses are not too strong. 7/10

From: dckiss Date: July 9, 2004 at 22:19
hooks there are so many hooks on this album.....a fish would be scared....simply buy it this album is a must have

From: Rik Date: August 21, 2004 at 18:57
without a doubt. this IS their best album. after this they went to a more polished album. softer and more commercial. not bad of course but not quite my tasting. THIS THO IS A MUST HAVE. IT ROCKS ! need it ? just write to erikhardam@hetnet.nl

From: Joan Date: October 28, 2004 at 16:41
Para mi el mejor disco de Gotthard (aunque le sigue muy de cerca "G"). She goes down, Come together, Dirty devil rock...vaya riffs y que decir de la voz,que pone la piel de gallina.HARD ROCK 100%

From: Geoff Date: January 20, 2005 at 3:55
I have to agree a little with Big Papa K. Like him, I like the album and the riffs are awesome, but something always troubled me with Gotthard and their fans. Yes, this is a good solid hard rocking CD but IMO there just aren't stand out tracks like the debut or recent CDs. It's all very good, solid hard rock but little variety and song writing exploration. Very good hard rock CD, but I am persoanlly happy they didn't maintain this style.

From: capdevilla Date: February 12, 2005 at 9:32

From: Jordi Date: March 22, 2005 at 10:32

My second introduction to Gotthard.Big riffs make up a solid rock album.

From: aoreus Date: July 19, 2006 at 9:08
best hard rock cd of the nineties along with Saints&Sinners, Wild Side, Hardline, Skid Row '91, White Lion'91, McQueen Street and many others back then - great swiss band - such a shame they've changed to Versace fuckin' clothes and thoughts - FUCK - anyway they still remain GREAT - production on all cds - perfect - beginning of August - in Bulgaria EUROPE close to Black Sea Shore - don't miss

From: Metalmusicman Date: December 9, 2006 at 20:06
This is another of my favourites from this amazing band in terms of style and songwriting, but thre seems to be a shortage of really standout tracks. Don't get me wrong, all the songs are very good and there is no filler in sight. I just wish there were a few more tracks that really grabbed you and made you go whoa! There are a few, such as "Mountian Mama", "She Goes Down", "I'm On My Way", and the best version of "Come Together" I have ever heard. A must for Gotthard fans!!!

From: juan carlos Date: July 26, 2007 at 11:00
Nop buen album de HardRock con buena producción pero no deslumbra totalmente. Temas bien rifferos y muy buena voz(a lo David Coverdale) pero ningún tema que mate realmente. "She Goes Down" mi fav. "Higher" "Mountain Mama" "Here Comes the Heat" y por ahí "Dirty Devil Rock" mis favoritas en ese orden, bien frescos los temas. El cover de los Beatles ok. No lo mejor de Gotthard IMO. 8/10

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: September 22, 2007 at 3:14
GREAT CD so go get it !the wildest one !!! Only killer songs !/ GREAT HEADBANGING HARD ROCK with a true edge and a terific sense of melody like WHITESNAKE in his finest hour !! STEVE LEE is one of the TOP 10 singer ever !!!honey for your METAL EARS ! 92/100

From: ROBERT Date: November 21, 2007 at 10:47

From: BIG-TIME Date: May 22, 2008 at 11:11
Not as good as the first but don't let that put your off. Some seriously kick ass track, there just a great band...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

From: Delbert Date: January 2, 2010 at 18:53
Awesome hard rock with great vocals...... far better than their debut "Self Titled"!!! One of my favorite bands, this is guitar-driven melodic metal. GOTTHARD's music has often been influenced by early KROKUS with better vocals. Produced by Chris Von Rohr, they will appeal to fans of SNAKES IN PARADISE, DOKKEN, FRONTLINE AND JADED HEART.

From: metalmaniac777 Date: February 14, 2010 at 8:04
While the gritty guitar riffs come galloping at you like a wild stallion gone rogue, the chorus hooks lack bite, leaving this one in the "eh, whatever" pile. I do like this band, and it's hard to criticize them, but this CD just left me unimpressed and disappointed, as I had hoped for something a bit more special. If I want run-of-the-mill hard rock, there are about a thousand inferior bands on speed dial waiting to deliver the standard connect-the-dots drivel (yeah, I'm talking about you, Krokus). Bottom line, for a straight-forward hard rock CD, this is OK, but your panties will still be dry when you've finished listening to it.

From: hair metal again Date: May 2, 2012 at 4:20
excellent 2nd step for GOTTHARD back in 93 and i d say that their sound has improved here ,as it has a more US feel!once again the guitar work and the vocs are excellent and all the songs are pretty good!highlights are "dirty devil rock","mountain mama","love for $" and "she goes down".very good stuff!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: September 5, 2012 at 23:48
This one is better than their debut IMHO,everything written above has been said quite rightly about this record..a big step forward...best tracks for me are "Higher"(rocks good!),"Mountain Mama"(cool),"Here Comes The Heat"(kick a**!),"She Goes Down","Love For Money","Dirty Devil Rock" & "Open Fire"...highly recommended...91/100

From: 123charpenay Date: September 6, 2012 at 13:30
excellent suite of their fantastic first record.ok they are not at the same level of quality and perfection but this new second effort is excellent.the more hard record from gotthard.of course hightly recommanded.two gtreat bonus tracks one the japan import."good time lover" and "rock n roll" from led zep.

From: petermexico13 Date: February 18, 2015 at 17:00
Gotthards Second work, nice album.
