| New genre for this band: "Mediocre Metal", as the label Cult Metal Classics should be shot for this band's promotion/categorization. Total mismatch band name/album cover(SATAN doesn't use KEYBOARDS). This is a chick fronted hard rock/AORish band as is their previous release "Which Way The Wind Blows" (1985). Forgettable stuff that the reaper needs to re-bury.

| Stallion, you and I may have deep theological differences, but one thing i truly believe is that Satan most definitely plays keyboards. Talk about "instruments of the devil"--they're one of his favorites!

| Doghouse, my keyboards reference was to the style of music this band plays as with such a over the top band name it's all bark, no bite. Exhibit A: playlist samples.. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/satanicrites2 I'm sure you would agree that you will find a abundance of "Satan/devil references in song titles/lyrics on Brutal Metal compared to HH. According to memory I think you hang with atheist/agnostic beliefs. But I'm sure you would agree that alot of these death/Satanic metal bands practice what they preach, as the sayin' goes "just because you don't believe in something, doesn't mean that it doesn't exist". I think Satan leans toward the Organ as the preferred 666 instrument of choice playing Enochian Keys. Does the devil write the best songs? Ezekiel 28:13 hints that Satan was involved with music in Heaven. Many musicians have spoke of experiences of being possessed on stage during a performance (see other post for quotes).

| No question this band's name is a total misnomer. As for bands "practicing what they preach," some do, some don't. Some do it for shock value--particularly in the '80's when it was actually shocking. A band like Watain tries their best to shock in the new millennium, but it's only truly frightening if you're already scared, so to speak. If not, it's just more comicc-book silliness, only with animal blood. As for your quotes, I feel like I'm chatting with Bob Larson circa 1985.

| Con't DD - You mentioned we have "deep theological differences" several times so I want to clarify. You don't have to have a PHD. to know that "theological" is the study of "theology" which is defined as the study of religious faith, practice, of God and God's relation to the world. You could generalize and say a system of religious beliefs or ideas. But to my knowledge unless you have made a recent conversion, you can't have theological differences with someone who has NO belief system in God. I am guessing you are atheist/agnostic from a few comments? It's no secret that you are the Captain Coattails of HH hovering over the new comments section either doing a follow up comment to someone's existing comment or needing the inspiration to find a band to comment on that someone else recently did. I've seen you ruffle a few feathers in the past, as I'm sure I have as I am usually going for a laugh, but sometimes the other HH patron doesn't see the humor in it.

| (CON'T) It seems you where waiting with Beelzebub Baited Breath for me here, as once again I thought it was obvious that I was making a 'genre' reference to how light weight this band was compared to the fangs of it's name. I'm occasionally on Brutal Metal for cross over artists and it seems you are a aficionado of some of those darker bands. I've seen you making comments of blood and semen about some band, so you appear to follow what makes some of these bands tick(lifestyle) pretty closely. It's funny that most heavy hitter atheists I see in the public eye (Richard Dawkins,ect) talk about the delusions of someone believing in the man in the sky, so are all these Satanic bands just as delusional for believing in the man in the FLAMES? You can't have one without the other in a theological discussion. You're the kind of guy who likes to have the last word, so I will give it to you if you want to take this to the BOARDS. I will tell what I believe, and why it's not based on blind faith.

| @Doghouse, man cannot live by HH alone, I'm a little late getting back to you. I haven't been on the boards since the Cher Wars, but if you are up for a debate of world views, Christianity vs. Atheism,ect we can go there. In my experience, atheists and even some Christians just regurgitate a few talking points, and when you ask them to elaborate on why they believe what they do based, on science,reason,ect I get a deer in the headlights look. I think this documentary is a good starting point, as I saw it in a movie theater 8-9 years ago. It sheds light on what science vs scientism. This documentary isn't religious, as it dives into Evolution vs.Creation based on science. No matter what your belief system it's entertaining and enlightening if you don't know how the academia system works. Check it out and get back to me to start a thread. | I did, dude. I started a thread like six months ago, but you know--a man can't live on HH alone, but he can wait half a year and want to pick the same conversation back up again. As for the documentary, admittedly whtout having seen it and just going on the title, I'm going to hazard a guess that it's some deal with an eye toward discrediting the scientific community in general, and on certain political hot-button issues in particular. "How come the science tha tsupports MY beliefs gets consistently poor peer reviews and I can't get funding?"
