| So what say ye Heavy Harmonies masses? I'm curious to hear from those who've picked this one up on how they think the re-recorded version compares to the original, which is regarded by most as a melodic rock classic.

| Never mess with greatness. Same as a movie re hash, the original is ALWAYS the best. In my opinion there is absolutely no need for this. The original was a superb release, which will surely go down as one of the great melodic hard rock releases, but this makes no sense whatsoever, apart from seeing dollar signs in their eyes. The production is not as good, the vocals are not as good and the playing is not as good. I am not saying for an instance that this is crap, because its not, but why bother? Oh yeah that's right, MONEY. Suggest they get together and write songs in the style that made them loved in the melodic rock world (the first 2 albums) and not stuff like this. POINTLESS.

| I thought everyone knew by now why bands re-record their music. MysticHealer, this isn't a money grab. It's so they will own their own content. Believe it or not, there may still be sales and royalties on these particular songs that they would gotten very little, if anything, had they not done it. Now, they can just use these versions and get more for their work. That's why all these bands re-record their most popular songs.

| There is a difference in a "money grab" and the type of money I'm talking about. In the sense that MH is talking about, every CD made is about "money". In the sense I'm talking about, controlling the intellectual property is as important.

| I've just listened to this and if you're a fan of the original there really is no point in getting it. The songs sound almost as good as the original but never surpass them. I'll stick to the original in future.

| Axe Slinger what i was talking about was pretty much what you have stated, i simply phrased it completely the wrong way. I was talking about royalties and not that the band can make a freakin fortune. And zld i have been around the block enough to know there is not much money to be made regarding cd's in this day and age, and as for me 'talkin shit' (as you put it) i don't think i am. The bottom line is that this album should not have been made. The original crucifies it in EVERY department. Like i said the band should concentrate their efforts on making new music and not rehashing old product. Just getting over myself of course.

| So I know for many you are well versed on this band, but I have to admit this is my first spin on them. I just picked up this album and I really like it. Is it just me or does it have some (current) Winger influences? Vocals, especially. I'm definitely going to check out other Scarem releases. Thoughts?
