This is a goddamn good cd. It reminds me of a mix between Ac/Dc and George Thorogood. Damn good tracks, played with an energy, that makes many sleeze bands look pale and boring. This is a cd without any weak tracks. Highly recomendable.

From: Wattage Date: March 23, 2003 at 15:24
Albums don't ever get much better than this. The version of "Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again" on here is worth the whole CD. Every track is fantastic how this band never hit in the US is beyond me.

I have heard that this is the Aussie equivelant to OI! music. It pales in comparison to AC/DC and especially Rose Tattoo but it still rocks and rolls. "Marsielles", an earlier Angel City classic was a favorite live staple in early Guns-n-Roses shows. Obviously someone was listening to some good rock from down under.

Me being a bloody yank, still doesnt mean THE ANGELS or ANGEL CITY has made a serious impact on my life. One of my favorite bands of all time, and I wish more and more releases would appear on this site. I can honestly say,I give thier music all the credit for a many schooner consumption sessions. I almost got to see them once in a pub on the sunshine coast called the ettamogah pub,but missed them by a week. That would have been ugly if I would have been able to pull that off.

I didn't even know The Angels had done anything overseas.... good luck to them .... best song?? I reckon "Am I ever gonna see your face again" (NWGFFO) ..... awesome atmosphere live!!!

From: Rycheage Date: August 15, 2004 at 17:18
Not as bad as some on this page would have you believe. On the other hand, there is much better blues infused rock out there. "Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again" is the best track on here, followed closely by "Let The Night Roll On". Worth only if you can get it cheap. Real cheap.

un albun que no da mucho gusto esuccharlo, temas desabridos no hay niguno con magia y una potencia de sonidos y coros espectaculares, que mal albun para mi gusto no pasa nada con este.

From: pie75 Date: March 18, 2009 at 7:25
well guys this is a realy good album although some of the track listing here is not on the aussie release i would urge you all to get the aussie release

From: Richard Head Date: September 18, 2011 at 11:44
The Angels redoing some older songs to get pushed here in the US, but I'd rather hear all new songs. Still a cool release.

From: Wardy Date: May 4, 2013 at 23:44
Having already heard the re-records (were they even?) as stated above, the original Aussie pressing featured mostly new tunes couple redone & made for the better album. To my mind nowhere near the quality that came before in Howling or Two Minute Warning (TWM originally an early 80's release, unlike the reissue listing found here). A more raw Angels was returned to for BeyondSalvation, songs such as LetTheNightRollOn & Dogs quickly became classic Angels and would've if recorded earlier fit comfortably on albums such as DarkRoom or WatchTheRed. Still, while less AOR or broad thinking than say Howling, this was a worthy record madly bought on mass by the Australian public, reaching #1 on the local charts. Thought followup RedBackFever the better release (& Skin&Bone better still!) but hindsight proves this a worthy purchase even today. International fans and completists need hunt down original Aussie pressing, if only for the brilliant BLEEDING WITH THE TIMES & the rocking title track!
