Sounds kind of like Bon Jovi meets the Scorpions. Great vocals, solid guitar work, combined with clean production. Excellent piece of melodic rock.

From: Dragonfly Date: December 14, 2001 at 18:11
Germanys answer to Bon Jovi but heavier. Micheal Bormann is the brains behind this group and his song writing is super. Mystery Eyes is my favorite track on this one.

From: Van Alan Date: November 10, 2002 at 23:51
I actually HATE Bon Jovi, but I love this CD. It does have that Bon Jovi sound as mentioned above, but it's much, MUCH heavier!!! If Bon Jovi had guts, his music would've been good and sounded like this!

From: TIM Date: December 11, 2002 at 19:44
I see more of a mix of Bon Jovi and Europe. Some Coverdalesque vocals in areas. Very consistant but I'm not stunned by any track. I'd give it a 9.3.

From: John Date: September 25, 2003 at 17:09
What a way to open an album. You can always count on an epic audio assault for track 1 from these guys. Borrman's voice is getting better with each release.

From: Gar Date: October 22, 2003 at 17:43
Hard to believe this was released in 98. Its a pure 80s style AOR album, and a very good one at that. This is the only album of their's I own, but I will definitely have to check out the rest.

From: Dave Date: April 9, 2004 at 8:17
If you love this Album Gar, you need to check out their latest one: Trust. This will just blow you away. Classic Melodic Rock of the very best. No other album except Whitesnake 1987, The Blue Murder debut and Appetite for Destruction got such a heavy rotation in my CD-Player. It is just unbelievable how good that album is! 'best, Dave

From: Marla Date: June 14, 2004 at 1:05
Just got hold of this one tonight! Love this one too!! While there is nothing on here that blew me away like "Way Back Home" on "IV", or "Anymore" and "F*cking Hating You" on "Trust"......this is damn good too!!! Stong songs for me are "Whisper", "Give It All The Best" and "What Is Love".

From: z4roxx Date: January 22, 2005 at 23:39
That's another killer release, wow! After the great debut and their best cd"slaves and master"IMO,Jaded Heart break the scene with another powerful and ultramelodic jewel!2 words about M.Bormannne of the best singer in the last 10 years I ever heard,he has the high quality to mix up your voice to create perfect choruses in every refrain, not many singer can have this fantastic results,IMO.Michael one of the best and Jaded Heart, too(but now without Michael I really don't know what they do)

From: Geoff Date: February 1, 2005 at 23:52
'Heaven is falling' will blow your balls off and is one of the best hard rock tracks I've heard, whilst the album closer 'What is love' is so melodic it's blissful - a pre-chorus bigger than most choruses and simply a stunning ballad. Elsewhere 'Stop me from falling' and 'Mystery eyes' are highlights, but overall this is just another excellent CD but a brilliant band.

From: juan carlos Date: May 18, 2006 at 0:19

From: Metalmusicman Date: December 9, 2006 at 21:28
Here we go again!!! Another disc, another addiction for me! This amazing band cannot miss it seems. Just what you would expect from this brilliant band. Big hooks, killer riffs, huge choruses and monster songwriting. Not a piece of filler to be found, although some is better than the other. If you like this band even a little, then your going to want to have this little gem too!!!

From: Melo Date: April 6, 2007 at 9:30
Wow,this one rocks damn good ! The Band gets better with every CD ! Big quality Melodic Hardrock ! Great Band, check it out ! 9 Points ! Buy or die !!!

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: April 11, 2007 at 13:55

From: coverdale14 Date: May 15, 2007 at 18:35
POR FAVOR, ESTAMOS ANTE UNA DE LAS MEJORES BANDAS DEL HARD-MELODICO,ESTE DISCO ROMPE,HEAVEN IS FALLING ABRE CON GRAN FUERZA,STOP ME FROM FALLING DE LA MISMA MANERA,GIVE IT ALL THE BEST MUY MELODICA,PERO WHISPER QUE HERMOSA BALADA MAGNIFICA,SHE'S NOT YOU BUEN HARD A LOS 80'S,MYSTERY EYES ES UNH HIMNO AL HARD-MELODICO,WHAT IS LOVE OTO HERMOSO CORTE.LARGA VIDA EL HARD-AOR Y LOS JADED HEART. 10/10.

From: Rycheage Date: September 21, 2007 at 21:56
Excellent release in a dark time for melodic rock. "Mystery Eyes", "Stop Me From Falling" and "Heaven Is Falling" are all awesome. The rest are good but not up the lofty standards these 3 songs put forth. Worth tracking down.

From: hernanHRM/AOR Date: November 10, 2007 at 16:18

From: metalmaniac777 Date: January 2, 2011 at 8:16
While this is my least-favorite with-Bormann Jaded Heart CD, it's still a darn fine melodic hard rock offering. Bormann continues to prove that his voice is a gift from the melodic gods and the songs all feature the now-standard big hooks, glorious choruses, and lush harmonies we've come to expect from the band. But something about the album as a whole just doesn't work for me as well as other Jaded Heart releases, something I really can't put my finger on; whatever the mystery element is, it prevents me from really enjoying this CD except on the most basic "oh that's nice" level. Truth is, I've probably only listened to this release once or twice in the last decade. All that said, I'm not trashing this album, because while it may not grab me personally for some elusive reason, it is definitely something most melodic hard rock fans should have in their collection.

excellent release by a great band!melodic hard rock music all around full of hooks and amazing sensual vocals.standout songs are of course "what is love","heaven is falling","walk on a wire" and "she s not you".a must have once again by one of the best ever european acts

From: 123charpenay Date: May 20, 2013 at 10:25
like always with jaded heart (bormann period) no deception.a very solid and very consistant german hard f m.killer record only good songs with the charismatic and mighty michael bormann on vocals.i recommand the very rare european reissue with three bonus tracks (all excellent like the rest).
