What about these guys Purrfect Kat, do you know much about these guys? Also on your web-page you had a band called Tipsy Wit, what are they like?

From: Purrfect Kat Date: August 3, 2002 at 4:17
I honestly can't remember every cd I have...I take about 50 with me in the car and switch them every month and for me to give a good desciption then I would have to find the cd and that is the hardest part cuz I have boxes of them all over the house...I try to keep them organized but it never works...I can only say they play Hard melodic and I must like them because I never threw them in the garbage box with Saber Tiger and the Badlands Dusk cd...sorry I can't be of more help.

I don't have your email David and I wanted to let you know that I just added many more rare cds.....my appologies to heavy harmonies for discussing something off topic from the band Jamilya....here is my website address update....http://www.angelfire.com/80s/purrfectkat-cds/new.html

This band is very hot. I just got this CD for Christmas from my Brother and have not removed it from my CD player. I will remember you is such a great ballad and the 1st song run for your life just rocks. Do you know if they will be coming out with a new CD.

From: Gringo Date: February 24, 2004 at 11:50
Just got the CD, and it's friggin' awesome. One of the best CDs I've heard in years. Get it if at all possible!

From: Rycheage Date: March 13, 2004 at 17:01
The ballads 'Moment Of Slience' and 'I Will Remember You' stand out, while the rampant 'Knights Of Glory' is pretty good, with kick drums and guitar flurries on overload. The mid-tempo churn of 'Can't Stand The Heartache' has many quality attributes, and they give us the rockin' opening pair of 'Run For Your Life' and 'Rock To The Edge' as well, which displays Jamilya at their best.

From: Jonny Date: March 20, 2004 at 21:07
These guys rock. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of over the edge? I bought the CD in '97 but I lent it to someody and I never got it back. I downloaded Run for your Life on their website www.jamilya.com. I forgot how much that song kicked ass. I would like for these guys to come out with some new stuff.

From: Justin Date: April 4, 2004 at 0:49
My brother used to play Jamilya's CD 'Over the Edge' about fifteen years ago and I could not believe it when I heard they were going to put on a show. Man I have not heard a band jam like this in years. I just recently saw these guys at cinergy on the westside of Chicago and they were heavy. This is the way music should be. Away with rap.

Haven't heard this one for awhile, but I do recall it being quite good. Not mind-blowing, but pretty solid. Got to break it out again...

From: tomcat Date: February 5, 2005 at 10:27
best song on this album: 'sticky situation'...

From: z4roxx Date: February 7, 2005 at 14:07
Opening track is a killer...and you can think:'the rest will be as this song???'.The answer is NO unfortunately!!Other 3/4 decent songs,a little delusion....

From: JF Date: February 28, 2006 at 20:00

From: JF Date: February 28, 2006 at 20:02
Realmente no tiene punto de comparación con Harem, no llegan al nivel ni musicalmente ni en produccion y ... bueno, etc. No es que sea tampoco un disco tan malo pero no es lo que esperaba.

From: Helix Date: May 9, 2007 at 17:03
To know this came out in 1997 it was too late for this band to sound like Europe,Firehouse,Warrant etc.The muisc itself is very tight, well put togather. The singer kevin willison was great for this band has a really good melodic voice, he sometimes sounds like kelly hanson of hurricane. I don't know what this cd goes for but I will say its worth a few dollars if you get your hands on it.

From: juan carlos Date: July 27, 2007 at 22:32
Pues sí, podría categorizarsele de MM tiene buenos Riffs y buenas melodías, buena voz.. Harem Scarem? no tiene nada que ver y de acuerdo con tomcat 'Sticky Situation' es la mejor de lejos. 'Can't Stand the Heartache' 'Run For Your Life' 'Knights of Glory' de lo mejor tambien. La instrumental 'Before the Moment' buenos punteos ok. Está bueno. 8/10

From: camelot66 Date: September 9, 2008 at 12:31
Hi this marvalous, tremendos stuff great allround performance, the Singer sounds fantastic and the music quit breathtaking at times.A very classy piece of Melodic Hard Rock, not Heavy Metal,9,5 at least.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 15, 2015 at 15:08
Wow!!!...i'm really surprised with this album...did this act recorded a second one?...what a shame if they didn't because they really smoke ...from tracks 1 to 4(being this last one a really nice song) are my faves but then tracks 5(rocks in an epic way!),8,9 & 10(rocks!)are pretty close to achieve the same status...you'll find great melodies and solid vocals in here for sure my friends!!!...91/100

From: hair metal again Date: April 13, 2016 at 12:30
pretty good debut for JAMILYA a band that performs hard rock with a slight heavy edge!the sound, the musicianship the songs are ok ,but cant find something exceptional!maybe the vocals in "i will remember you " is something special and you need to hear that!overall a decent one!

From: Doug Date: April 13, 2016 at 15:45
Be honest with you, had never heard of these guys, but the reviews above are good. Now on my want list.

Greatest Album 1997 ever... Whats Going on With these Guys??

From: 123charpenay Date: June 3, 2016 at 16:37
hum the best record of 1997?it s a joke.jamilya is a second zone band.a mediocre combo.poor production with a very average singer for some very average songs.one thousand hard rock bands all over the world are at the same level .

From: plastic sheet Date: September 13, 2022 at 13:05
Jamil Yaa's "Over The Edge" in 1997 was a masterpiece. Standard American gold, can only be said to have been born in the wrong era, is really born in the wrong time, has not come and bloom is flooded by the tide. Recommended 1,4,6,8,10. The fourth song "I will remember you" is a small love song, which is definitely my favorite. The slow version of ballad with box piano has the perfect melody, and the metal tenderness is fully displayed in this song. When I am old and gray, I will still remember your name. No matter how much it hurts inside, I will still call your name. When all the dust settles, you will still be my one. . , recommended for gold fans 85/100.
