| Benny returns to top form after a decade of silence and remakes his hit 'Into The Night' even better. All the songs are of high quality, similiar to Journey in some aspects.

| A decaffeinated version of Steve Perry, Mardones seems to be Bolton-bound on this release. 'Into the Night' is good: the fact that it could be re-heated & served 9 years after its original release is a testimonial to this worthiness. But I fear it was re-issued for all the wrong reasons, as a mere attempt to cash in on Michael Bolton mania. Then again, a lot of old tunes were dusted off in '89: Sheriff's 'When I'm With You' leading the way for chestnuts by Peter Gabriel, Moving Pictures & Synch.

| Excellent album featuring collaborations with Mark Mangold, Mark Spiro & Duane Evans. Similar in places to the Lord God Bolton's early releases, but on certain tracks the excellent Drive, She Said comes to mind especially on 'Close To The Flame'.

| Imagine some 'Drive She Said-ized' version of Michael Bolton(with a more raw yet truly melodic vibe on vocals)in its most AOR times, then add a Mr.Olimpya muscular-ized produccion. To all that, as stated before, put guests like Mark Mangold, Al Fritsch, Robert Tepper & Mark Spiro in everything involved about the record then you already know that this will be a HUGE one of a hell cd!!!!! Top class AOR by number NOT to be missed, BUY IT!!

| I can't agree more with the above comments. Indeed, a great album from a great voice. Really, how can you go wrong with the help of Mark Mangold, Mark Spiro and Robert Tepper? Except the re-cover of the classic 'into the night', the first 2 and the last 2 songs are excellent!

It's just my impression of course but this reminds me on ONLY CHILD. Even the voice is near to Paul sabu's. This one is musically very cool instrumented but sometimes a bid too even. Well, still more than an '8 out of 10' AOR with my favourites the more rockier WE'VE GOT TO RUN & CLOSE TO THE FLAME surounded by nice softer tunes. Essential AOR

| Another classic for me and not only for INTO THE NIGHT. There are other classics like CLOSE TO THE FLAME, WE`VE GOT TO RUN ( my best ), FOR A LITTLE RIDE ( even if THE LAW`s version is a little better ) and I`LL BE GOOD TO YOU. No fillers here, all winners. Beautiful. Thanks JL

| From head to toe man,superb in all aspects!!!.Aor with guts in here and the voice of Mr Mardones...classic!.Shamely he didn't have the recognition he deserved and went onto the shadow of other singers in the same vein.What a waste!.'I never really loved you at all' and the remake of 'Into the night'are killers songs!.Essential.10/10.

| Comparable to Michael Bolton's early works, Benny Mardones made this GREAT album, filled with keyboards, great guitars, superb melodies, catchy sing along choruses that u will never get tired of singin' 'em, and that UNIQUE voice Mr. Mardones had. This album is just fucking awesome. 10/10

| Ahh beautiful and very inspired AOR album, with a very personal style, plenty of ballads like 'Into The Night', 'How Could You Love Me' and 'Close to the Flame'. Mardone's Voice is very deep, personal and unique, and all the entire album sounds very solid... very good album

| The production quality is awesome on this one, but to my ears the songwriting isn't on par. The disc is decent enough, but there are no classics on it (apart from the remake of Into the night). The ballad How could you love me is excellent though.

| Listening to this one good release..."I'll Be Good to You" is my fave song in here,a nice softie ...tracks # 1,3,4(classic),5,9 & 10 are also pleasant cuts..rest in peace master,you will be always remembered.88/100

| excellent release for BENNY MARDONES back in 89 with the valuable help of great musos like Mangold,Fritch,Spiro,Tepper etc!Massive radio friendly sound with strong songs like "never really loved you at all","how could you love me","into the night","never far away",'close to the flame" and " run to you"!the MICHAEL BOLTON & DRIVE SHE SAID comparisons are quite accurate and overall a must have release
