| Well I know I'll probably ostracize myself here but I love this album! Just a HUGE fun summertime pop-metal album that brings back great memories for me. These guys were a whole new animal by this release though and if you're to compare to 'Under..' then yeah you'll be dissapointed, but on it's own merits it's spectacular. It doesn't help when the band members perpetuate the stigma behind this album by constantly saying it's mediocore. Then the fans tend to follow suit with 'Well it must be'.

| I love Twisted Sister but this stinks!! Total pop sell-out. Only tracks 1 and 3 sound like true TS songs, and they're pretty good. Everything else is embarrassing fluff that would be more at home on a Danger Danger album. The recent re-release of this album by Spitfire contains 4 extra songs, but they're nothing special either. Not hard to see why this album ended the band's career.

| The cheesy 'Leader of the Pack' ended Twisted Sister's career, Desslar. This was a decent attempt at resurrection which, by the time it was released, was met with overwhelming indifference. I like 'Wake Up (The Sleeping Giant)'... an anthem that, in a different place and time, would have continued the momentum that 'Stay Hungry' had initialized. Sorry, but I'm with Tony on this one, Desslar.

| Everyone says 'Leader..' did a lot of damage to the band. I'll take your word for it since I wasn't paying any attention at the time. However, 'Come Out and Play' is a dozen times better than this dreck, uneven but more or less staying true to the band's core sound. On 'Love is..' they just threw everything out the window and tried to be Bon Jovi or something. This album wouldn't scare the PMRC at all. Wouldn't be surprised if Tipper Gore bought a copy to see the results of her handiwork.

| I like this one enough, sure they sound softer than before. Comparison with Danger Danger and Bon jovi are ok for this album, but I love those two bands. I really like Hot love ( and the tits of the girl in the video) and You are all I need, a great power ballad that can remind The Prize (Stay Hungry). Leader of the pack had a very funny video. Under the blade was too raw for my taste.

| Call me a blasphemer if you will, but I rate this as TWISTED SISTER's best CD. Some claim producer Beau Hill lopped off the band's balls, but all he did was smooth the band's rough edges and gave them a more melodic vibe. Maybe diehard metalheads didn't like it, but I am a melodic hard rocker at heart, and these hook-filled anthems are exactly what my ears want to hear. It may not be as twisted as the band's early stuff, but that doesn't make me a sucker for liking it.

| Yes, you are a blasphemer. However, your description of the band having its balls lopped off for this release is most accurate. TS always looked glam, but unfortunately on this album they actually try to sound glam.

| Although criticized by many as worse than the former TS stuffs, I totally liked this album. I can say 'Love's For SUCKERS never SUCKS!'. It's more melodic, softer and balanced. Remember that in that year there were albums like 'Hysteria' or 'Slippery When Wet' around. So the sound here just fits the time of release. At least much'n'much better than the later Dee Snider's Widowmaker. You can have a good idea on TS by listening this album.

| Yes Baris, I agree. On this album are the best songs TS ever made, for example the cool titletrack, 'Tonight' or the poppy but strong 'Hot Love'. Very good !!!

| Not at all what you'd expect from the band, but I loved it! They tried to go along with where the hard rock scene was going at the time. They lost a lot of fans along the way, but they put out a really good album.

| This is actually a good album. It was under rated. A different type of T.S. than Under The Blade or You Cant Stop R&R, but not necessarily a bad one! It's ashame this came out when T.S. was dying out ( Because of Leader of the Pack! It killed them, but the Come Out And Play Album really wasn't that bad other than that and maybe 1 or 2 others.)I think that this album could have been a bigger hit for them, but the timing killed it. It is a real good one though, check it out!

| I agree with my buddy Art 100%. Ashame the bad timing killed this one, because some of their best songs are on it. Not as heavy, but great melody and a nice 'pop metal' sound. T.S. is a great group, both their heavier stuff and their more 'pop' type stuff. #2,3,5,6,& 9 are actually some of T.S.' best songs. Check it out!

| Does anyone remember a band called Reckless out of the NYC area? Had a minor hit back in 87/88 with 'Crazy For You'. I think they got some help from the Twisted Sister dudes. That would be a great CD to include, especially if you could get a sample.

Completely Excellent!  great sound, great vocals from mr. snider, tight guitar riffs n superb solos from reb beach, excellent guitar arrangement parts from Ronni le Tekro  bombastic drums from joe franco definately superb album. hot love, tonite, me and the boys, yeah right is classic!

| Sit down...Put on this CD...Forget that this band ever had their cheesy hits...Listen...If you have the slightest ear for quality Hardrock (even though it's commercial) you'll know this is good stuff! Unfortunately TS will always be remembered for the 'Stay Hungry' era and that, even back then, overshadowed their other releases which in many ways were far superior...It's only nice to hear that TS had more to offer than 2-riff songs & bad production. Not the best album in rock but worth a listen

| Got the video for 'hot love' on my harddisk, very cool video i must say..this is a good melodic rock album but if anyone would ask me for a twisted sister recommendation i would recommend their 'stay hungry' album. Dee snider is cooler than ozzy in my book..hehe

| TS's final studio album and it was not a great way for Twisted Sister to go out. The only good thing about this album is 'Wake Up The Sleeping Giant.' Well, that and the video for 'Hot Love,' with the hot chick washing her car in cutoffs and a skimpy top.

This has always been my favorite TS album. A while back I heard Dee on a talk show saying something about this being the very first album ever discontinued by a record company. Interesting if true. I burned through 2 cassettes of this in high school and ended up buying the cd from a company in Germany when it was still oop here. I too have to mention the Hot Love video--AWESOME! Why the hell don't rock bands make videos like this anymore??!! Chicks and cars, what more do you need?

| Wow, I am surprised so many peopel liked this one. If all these people had actually bought it back in 87 then TS may not have broke up shortly after this tour. I did buy it on tape in 87 and I always thought of the first side (first 5 songs) as the good side and the second side (songs 6-10) as the bad songs on the album. Far and away their weakest albums, but it has some good songs.

| Songs get a bit cheesy here. Look at the titles, and you can see that. One Bad Habit (I like to rock and roll), I Want The Night To Last Forever, I'm So Hot For You. But still a great CD. No promotion, and very basic package compared to COAP

| The album is well executed for a band who once specialised in all out heavy metal. The only cut in touch with their past is opener 'Wake Up The Sleeping Giant'. There's the usual rebellious lyrics with obligatory group choruses with the right amount of heavy riffing. Not on par with the past Twisted releases but good nonetheless.

| Twisted Sister switch gears and try to hard to be another Bon Jovi. While some of the songs are good, such as the first three, this is just not the type of album that Twisted Sister should have been making. The final nail in their coffin. 5/10

| This is crazy,Twisted sister is twisted sister and bon jovi is bon jovi!there can never be another band like bon jovi but there will be band who want to be like them or try to play their type of music. you know who i'm talking about. This album is so cheesy,unlike the under the blade(my favourite twisted sister album) and stay hungry. Come on,bon jovi is a hard rock band who plays some pop metal tune and produce tons of ballad while twisted sister is a heavy melodic metal band playing

| I have to admit I liked this album. Everyone is all 'leader of the pack killed the band', but does anyone remember or own a copy of RUFF CUTS which by the way is dissapointingly not on this site although it was (if you don't count the 45's on their own label)the bands first release for Secret records. Leader of the pack is on there it is an older version with a Flinstones sounding car crash effect at the end. So to say that this one cover song destroyed the band...please. If that was the case th

| I quite like this album. Still not the same band than on their first three albums, but nice anyway. My vinyl is missprinted. B-sede has Laura Branigan label on it. 8/10

| Well, all my other Twisted Sister CDs are now in someone else's collection, having sold them all recently, and now only this one remains. The reason? Because I actually quite enjoy this one if I'm to be honest. The title track is great, 'You are all that I need' is a walking cliche but I like it, there are cool guitar riffs elsewhere. Not brilliant and still pretty damn cheesy, but a cool hard rock CD. 6.7/10

| This is my favorite Twisted Sister album (ducks while Twisted Sister fans throw bottles at me). The title track is originally from Poison Dollys 'Invasion' album. Poison Dollys included guitarist Gina Stile who played on Vixen's 'Tangerine' album, but don't worry, Poison Dollys is MUCH better than that crappo Vixen album she played on.

| one of my greatest favs of all, I grew up going to see T.Sister live in concert when they did covers, I love Under the Blade and You Can't Stop albums, but when they hit it big and came out with Hungry and Play, I was not crazy over those two, then Love for Suckers came out just as they were fading, should of been huge. This is TSister writing great songs and succeeding. Tonight, Love is for Suckers, Hot for you, Hot Love, Your'e all I need. Great rocking catchy album, don't miss this one!!!

| Haven't had this disc in AGES, but recently just got it again. Not the typical sound you expect from the Twisted ones but once you hear it, it sticks!!! Great tunes overall with good guitar work. Fun album you just crank while your doing whatever...Twisted foreva muthas!!

| This was originally ment to be a Dee Snider solo effort, as all songs were written, arranged and composed by the man solely. It is also their more technical release. All that in mind, I can forgive the album for beeing a rather poor experience, holding it up to the rest of their catalogue. Twisted Sister is traditional Heavy Metal, this is not. 7/10

| Despite the beatdown many seem to give this album,i always thought it was a pretty d*mn good record.Sure its not as mean and nasty as the earlier ones,but who gives a flying f**k! Almost 20 years old now and still sounds good.Hair metal ??? C'mon....Dee ain't no pussy .

| Just picked this one up used at a local CD store and glad I did. I have Stay Hungry, Come Out & Play, and Big Hits/Nasty Cuts and this one is their most fun rockin' glam album. Catchy rockin' glam rock with a few that are more metal like Twisted can do - title track and Tonight. Definitely recommended for you SMF's.

| Also want to add that the ballad (You are all that I need) is great and I believe the album states guitar wiz Ronnie Le Tekro from TNT helped write it and you can tell his influence.

| Strange things happen...I bought this one the very first time I saw it in 1987 or maybe 88 as in Spain things go slowly. I just hated it, sold out to a comercial way, I just had had it with TS. Funny as it is nowadays I like it...not as TS album but as a kind of fresh cheesy summer rock ¿pop? thing. Don't get me wrong,if you are a TS hardcore fan get the hands off this one but if you need a cd to make you smile while driving down the highway on a hot summer day...well, then this one fits the needs.

| By the time I got into TS they had already split up, but I would still say they are one of my favourite bands ever. My first exposure to them (at least from an album perspective as I had the song Under the blade on a compilation tape) was You cant stop rock n roll, which is obviously one of their classics, but I soon bought pretty much all of their original albums with the exception of Under the blade which took a lil longer to track down. Like many, this one came as somewhat of a disapointment to me, but like Jovis 7800 and Crues Theatre of pain, its grown on me over the years to the point that, while its nowhere near my favourite, I do find it to be a great album. I can understand why some fans will never accept it, but to say its their sell out pop album is totally wrong, as this is probably closer to how the band started out than any of their other albums. Compare this to the Club daze material, and its not so poppy.

| This is my favorite Twisted Sister album, even if it's not actually Twisted Sister. No, this was actually recorded as a Dee Snider solo album, but the record label flat out REFUSED to issue it without the Twisted Sister name on it. In face, Snider was the only TS member that worked on this album. Kip Winger and Reb Beach (of Winger fame) worked with Dee and producer Beau Hill and a handful of session musicians. If memory serves me correctly, Twisted Sister had already pretty much broken up when this album was recorded, but the record label put the Twisted name on it and put them back on the road, which eventually led to a pretty nasty split. Still my favorite "Twisted Sister" album, though.

| I liked TS before this came out as an above average fan, but then this came along and I was like WOW! I'm a huge fan of "Hair Bands" I really don't like calling it that, but that's how people associate it nowadays. This is as comercial as it gets and I love it!!!

| Respecting all the comments above(good and bad) i think this album is simply great!!!...ok is a very commercial one but it was released in a time where, for example, bands such as Bon Jovi,Dokken or even The Scorpions were hitting the charts like a napalm bomb and probably TS wanted to taste the same somehow...a bunch of very catchy songs is what we find here...my faves are "Wake Up(The Sleeping Giant)","Hot Love"(AORish),"Love Is For Suckers","Me & The Boys","I Want This Night(To Last Forever)"(nice chorus),"Yeah Right" & "I Will Win"(bonus track)...recommended album if you like poppy/happy metal...92/100

| Yeah I know its a bit late replying to a comment from 17 years ago, but just read this "The cheesy 'Leader of the Pack' ended Twisted Sister's career" ... what absolute bullshit. Sounds like someone does not know their Twisted history since Leader of the pack was actually a song that goes way back to the very early days of Twisted Sister, and actually originally appeared on the Ruff Cutts EP that predates the debut album (and actually appeared on several CD versions of Under the blade). Simple fact is, by the time Come out and play came out, Twisted Sister were already starting to fragment as a band. AJ was out of the door soon after its release, and Snider was looking at doing a solo project. Also, the fact that MTV refused to play the first singles video (Be chrool) due to the "violent nature" of it did not help.
