| By far the defining studio recording for this outfit. The lyrics easily lend themselves to 3-joint philosophizing. Production-wise the tracks lack something in the sound spectrum. Not that it's all bad, but this album has a definite ambience to it that stands apart from any other recording I've heard. Guitar leads have Fender written all over them. Tough to pick a favorite, but I lean towards Transmaniacon MC. Definately not something your neighborhood garage band would cover. Distinctly BOC.

| Buck Dharma's riffs easily match those of Iommi, Paige and Blackmore on this CD. "Cities on Flame" is the heaviest riff in the world. The jazzy stuff on "Redcap" is a testimonial to Buck's genius/versatility. His bluesy side is perfect on "Days of May". BUT... after all is said & done, nobody gives the guy his rightful due!! This is the best BOC album with "Imaginos" providing possible room for argument. Every song is amazing in its own way. Right up there with the best classic metal CDs EVER

| Their best was yet to come, but this is still pretty damn good. I always thought "Last Days of May" was one of their finest songs. Anybody agree?

| The debut by BOC sure sounds a lot different than their later 70's and 80's releases. Sounding influenced by Black Sabbath and late 60's psychedelia, BOC come up with an interesting album that takes a few listens to get into. Reminds me of Budgie's first album. Love some of those song titles, such as track 2. 8/10

| Cities on flame with rock and roll. Remember that title and go out and purchase this one. This song alone defines what these guys are capable of. Great album.
